What to submit

For art "worth filtering through the artist's sensibility"
- Evening Standard

Our aim is to promote and display works that use a variety of different mediums, styles and approaches, but overall our focus is on the quality and confidence of the finished works. The competition sets out to promote and encourage excellence. Experienced and emerging artists are encouraged to submit fresh and intriguing works that are strong, contemporary and topical observations on the world.

Works can be submitted in a variety of mediums: paintings, sculptures, original prints and drawings, mixed media constructions, reliefs and other figurative installations. Photography and video is only acceptable within mixed media installations.

Up to three works, completed since 1 January 2011, may be submitted. Works must not have been exhibited in any other prize or competition in the UK or elsewhere.

Submissions must either be no larger than 2.4m or have the ability to unpack and move at a size smaller than 2.4m. Our regional collection service may not accept works larger than 2m squared. Please call in advance to check space availability.

All entries must be for sale.
