The value of The Threadneedle Prize in 2012 has been increased to £30,000! This makes it the largest prize awarded in the UK for a single work of art. Meanwhile, total prize money has increased to £46,000.
This year’s panel of selectors will choose the winner of The Threadneedle Prize, while the public are invited to vote for their favourite work in the exhibition and they award the £10,000 Visitors’ Choice Prize.
An award of £1,000 is given to each of the five other finalists for The Threadneedle Prize. The two other finalists for the Visitors’ Choice Prize each receive £500.
